Search Mojo will host a free webinar to demonstrate new ways to properly measure search marketing analytics
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (May 27, 2013) – Google’s emphasis on localization and personalization is changing the way marketers measure their search marketing efforts. In the upcoming webinar “Search Marketing Metrics that Matter,” Janet Driscoll Miller, President and CEO of search engine marketing agency Search Mojo, will discuss why rankings are likely not the best measurement of a search marketer’s goals and how to measure the true indicators of search marketing success. The webinar will take place May 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. ET.
“Over the past few years, as Google (and Bing) have changed the way organic search results are displayed through geolocation, personalization and universal results, search engine rankings have become more difficult to determine with certainty,” said Miller. “Additionally, rankings alone do not indicate the true success of search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is about more than just rankings – it’s about being visible to the right audience on the right keywords to drive site traffic and conversions and ultimately sales. Measuring SEO success primarily on rankings ignores SEO’s greater impact and goals.”
In the webinar, Miller will elaborate on some of the influencing factors site owners and marketers should take into consideration when measuring search efforts, such as the growing power of Google+, content, and social media metrics, as well as provide an overview of tools, such as Google Analytics and Google Webmaster Tools, to utilize in the process.
